Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

General information

Journal of Midwifery published since 2016 with a frequency of 2 (two) times a year every April and October. Griya Husada Midwifery Journal is a journal published by the Griya Husada Midwifery Academy in Surabaya with p-ISSN No. 2407-1676.

The Midwifery Journal is printed from articles sent to the Midwifery Journal Editor after a review process by the Editorial Board. Every article submitted must be free from the elements of plagiarsm and autoplagiarsm.

The Midwifery Journal is currently in the stage of developing an online management system. The submitted process / article registration and article review process are done online. At this time the Midwifery Journal has been indexed by several indexing engines such as; Google Scholar, Garuda Portal, Base, Orcid Member, and the registration process at DOAJ.

Articles can be written in English or Indonesian is good and right. Articles can be in the form of research results, theoretical studies (state of the art), as well as analysis and problem solving in the field of health relevant to the field of midwifery and / or health, which have never been published in other media publications.

General Instructions
Articles must be written on A4 (210 x 297 mm) HVS paper. Articles are written without page numbers and are arranged in the order of topics discussed: Introduction, Research Methods (or Model Development), Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (if any), List of Notations (if any) and Bibliography. Abstract and Title are written in 2 (two) languages, namely Indonesian and English.

Writing Instructions
The author can also download templates from the Midwifery Journal. The article begins with the title of the article with 16 pt bold font UPPER CASE format. The author's name is written under the title with the format Title Case font 12 pt bold. The author's name is written in full without an academic degree.

Apostrophes are written behind the author's name in superscript format. The name of the institution (origin institution, address, telephone number, facsimile number and e-mail) is written under the author's name in Times New Roman letters with the format Title Case, 10 pt. If there are more than one author, an email should be written to the corresponding author. Article title, author's name and institution's name is centered. The distance between the title with the author's name is 2 spaces (10 pt) and the distance between the author's name and the institution's name is 1 space (10 pt)

The abstract title is written in regular middle letters with 10 pt bold format. The distance between the abstract title and the name of the institution is 2 spaces (10 pt). The distance between abstract text and abstract title is 1 space (10 pt). Abstracts are written in italics (Italic) 150-200 words long, with a left margin of 35 mm and a right margin of 30 mm. Abstract is written in one column format. Keywords are written under abstract text, arranged in alphabetical order and separated by semicolons. The title of the keyword is written in a regular format with a font of 10 pt bold while the keyword is written in italics (italic).

Abstract written in English and Indonesian. If the article is in Indonesian, then in the English abstract the title is written in English. If the article is in English, then the title of the Indonesian language is written in Indonesian. The title in the abstract is written before the abstract contents are in the UPPER CASE Bold format.

The contents of the article are written in the 25 mm left margin, 20 mm right margin, 20 mm bottom margin and 30 mm top margin. Header distance from the edge of the paper is 20 mm, and the footer distance from the edge of the paper is 13 mm. Articles are typed in the MS Word program with Times New Roman font with 12 pt font, 2 spaces and in one column format. Each article consists of a maximum of 20 pages (including pictures and tables) and is written justified. Write a paragraph on the left edge of the line with a new paragraph transition distance of 12 pt (the beginning of the paragraph does not indented).
Subtitles are in bold with the UPPER CASE format and are arranged left aligned without numbers and underscores. Subtitles are written in bold with the Title Case format and are arranged left aligned without numbers and underscores. Sub subtitles are written in bold with Sentence case format and arranged flat left without numbers and underscores.

Figures and Tables are placed in groups of text and given information. Figures and tables are followed by the title of the image that is placed under the picture in question and the title of the table that is placed above the table in question. The image titles and table titles are numbered consecutively. Images are guaranteed to print clearly even if reduced to 50%. Drawings or diagrams / schemes should be placed between groups of text. Image not framed. For color graphics or graphics, please send 300 sheets if you want to print in color. Tables are displayed without vertical lines, while lines

Equations are written centered and given numbers written in brackets. The number is placed at the end of the right margin of the column.

List of Notations written in alphabetical order. Latin letters notation are written first, then Arabic letters are followed.

The system for writing citations / excerpts of a manuscript or literature uses the Harvard system. Literature sources written in the description only consist of the author's name and year of publication. Example: Factors influencing the low choice of IUD contraception are age, parity, occupation, education, knowledge, social culture, social economy, religion, and provider (Hartanto, H., 2004; Hartanto et al., 2011; for more than two authors) . According to Sanyono (2010), ……… etc.

Bibliography is arranged alphabetically without numbering and the distance between bibliography is 1 space (10 pt). The writing rules used are as follows:

Article Submission

Articles submitted / registered online by accessing the website from Midwifery with the following address; https://griyahusada.id/index.php/midwifery. Every author must have a user name and password to be able to register the article. Data in the Metadata section must be filled in completely by all the Writer's data. Each registered article can be accompanied by a Statement stating that artiel is free from conflict and plagiarism. Prospective authors who cannot be submitted online can contact the Editor through the E-mail line with the address [email protected] or [email protected].

Each article will be reviewed by the Editorial Board and / or Bebestari Partners. Correspondence will be addressed to the first author. The writer must immediately correct the article according to the reviewer's instructions. If the article has been declared accepted by both Major Revision and Minor Revision, then the Author must immediately correct the article that has been through the review process.

The editor has the right to reject articles sent if they are not relevant to the field of midwifery and / or health, are not up to date or have been published in other scientific magazines.
